Mind The Gap - The Gap Between Knowing and Doing The Right Things

I want to talk today about something that's been on my mind a lot recently, and it's the gap that exists between knowing what I need to do and then actually doing it.

I suspect I'm not the only person struggling with this. We all have habits that are not serving us, that we need to change, but there's just a difference or a disconnect between knowing the things to do and being able to get started and follow through and do them.

My struggle is with eating and controlling my blood glucose, which has everything to do with how I eat. And you may have struggled with eating yourself or with other habits, developing an exercise habit, learning to do something new taking a leap from an old habit that's not working well for you to something that you know, would work better. I'm an expert and that makes that particularly embarrassing for me.

I know the things to do, I tell you what to do every single week. And yet I really have a lot of trouble following my own advice. So here's what I have figured out.

For me, it helps to have some accountability partners. So I have signed up with a medical weight loss clinic. My plan is to lose about 30 pounds over the next few months. I will keep you posted with my hilarious struggles along the way, my little failures, and my little victories. And I'm glad to take you with me and give you weekly check-ins.

I would invite you to do the same! In the comments below, tell me what you're struggling with. Tell me what you're struggling with.

Tell me how you're trying to solve your problems and let's figure this out together!
